The Rural Small Business Conference is scheduled for February 10th - 12th, 2009. The conference agenda has been posted!

Our organization has come a long way from 1968 when our first project was to finance a small co-op store housed in a log cabin in Manokotak. Alaska Village Initiatives now has over 170 member organizations, which in turn represent more then 50,000 rural Alaskans, and is controlled by a 21-member Board of Directors representing rural communities and organizations from across the state.

OUR MISSION

Alaska Village Initiatives, a self-supporting corporation organized in 1968 by and for Rural Alaskans, promotes the economic well-being of
Rural Alaskans though economic development, assistance, networking, advocacy, and education.

OUR VISION
Through the wisdom of our elders, the dreams of our youth and the vision of our parents, we embrace our cultures and strengthen our economies.

ABOUT US
